Cairns not mentioned again, should the port be closed down—- —————Queensland cities Mackay, Gladstone and Townsville named as potential biofuel sites in US Navy ‘alliance’ | The Courier-Mail

THREE north Queensland cities have been identified as potential future sites for a biofuel production plant as part of an “alliance” with the US Navy, according to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Mackay, Gladstone and Townsville were all named as possible sites for a production plant if a deal with the Navy officials at the Pentagon is signed off.

The Premier, in the US as part of trade mission, said she had received “key signals” from the US Navy that they were willing to consider a deal for Queensland to supply their ships with alternative biofuels.

  1. Hi Raj, Ships don’t use biofuels (methanol) ships use bunker oil, just political claptrap for the biased left media to trumpet to show she is doing stuff for the state and the idiots who believe this bull. Anna Pluck-a-chook wants to return to smart state funded by you, with 80 billion of Labor created debt and 470,000 an hour interest, how well did that work last time. Regards Nelson
