So the first failure of probity was for the Deputy Premier to not appoint a probity advisor before commencing these negotiations. At the end of last month a probity advisor was finally appointed for the redevelopment of the government precinct, including the approval of a casino licence—none other than ‘independent’ Mr Len Scanlan, with BDO appointed as the probity consultant. The same ‘independent’ Len Scanlan who was paid by the LNP to do their 2012 state election costings, which resulted in the sacking of around 20,000 workers to meet their so-called funding source of an expenditure cap. The same ‘independent’ Len Scanlan who was paid by the LNP to do their 2013 federal election costings. The same ‘independent’ Len Scanlan who was the head of internal audit in Queensland Health during the period of the fake Tahitian prince.

  1. Hi Raj, The state is in 80 billion dollars of debt with over 4 billion in interest, how did it the states coffers get into so much debt?. It got there by the corrupt arrangement between a politicised bureaucracy and the Labor Party, the unions finance the Labor Party, finance their election campaigns and in turn the Labor party does deals to give bureaucrats over generous pay packets and allowances and also employing far to many to hide the real unemployment in Queensland. Before I listen to any dishonest propaganda by Curtis Pitt I need him to tell the truth about how the Labor Party run up this debt, how it made a mess of Queensland Health at great cost to taxpayers and pain to patients (bureaucrats are not health workers) and how its going to repay the debt without additional taxes or is it going down the usual Labor path and pretend debt that is used to finance bureaucrats pay packets and in turn finance the Labor Party by their union dues is not a problem. Grandkids and Great grandkids will somehow repay the debt, not that they care. Regards Nelson.
