Macau Group Shows Hand on $5b Resorts Proposed

A second major Chinese group has its sights on north Queensland with plans to invest $5 billion in a resort

development and upgrade at Proserpine Airport.

The China-Australia Entrepreneurs Association Incorporated headed by Raymond Wang is spearheading the project

on behalf of major partners the Zelong Group and Esteem Capital Success Ltd.

Zeelong holds six casino licences in Macau while Esteem is proposing a Chinatown-style precinct along with retail

and commercial complex and an international-standard gaming hotel in Airlie Beach.

They also want to build Queensland’s largest Buddhist temple, with an associated hotel at Shute Harbour.

“We also want to work with the State and Whitsunday Regional Council to upgrade the Proserpine Airport for

international flights “Mr Wang said”

At PRDnationwide Whitsunday we believe with house prices expected to keep growing in the next 1-2 year and with

local and foreign investors significant players in the market means great things expected for Airlie Beach and the

Whitsundays.
