Macau Group Shows Hand on $5b Resorts Proposed
A second major Chinese group has its sights on north Queensland with plans to invest $5 billion in a resort
development and upgrade at Proserpine Airport.
The China-Australia Entrepreneurs Association Incorporated headed by Raymond Wang is spearheading the project
on behalf of major partners the Zelong Group and Esteem Capital Success Ltd.
Zeelong holds six casino licences in Macau while Esteem is proposing a Chinatown-style precinct along with retail
and commercial complex and an international-standard gaming hotel in Airlie Beach.
They also want to build Queensland’s largest Buddhist temple, with an associated hotel at Shute Harbour.
